Dejarik part 2
K'lor'slug
Hailing
from Noe'ha'on, these venomous beasts are feared for their
lightning-quick reflexes, and their almost-supernatural
senses. They will typically constrict around their foes, all
the while secreting a toxic slime. At one time, these
predators were a major problem on large vessels, such as
Imperial Star Destroyers, infesting the air ducts and waste
disposal systems. This is seldom a problem anymore, however,
since it was discovered that they can be easily destroyed
with the black salt from the mines of Kaldor
The Mantellian Savrip
This nasty, predatory race from Ord Mantell is feared throughout the galaxy. While technologically backwards, they are immensely strong and are masters of an ancient martial art known as sav'rip-ta. It's powerful grappling style has been used successfully against much larger and more powerful opponents, including young rancors. A favorite tactic of the Mantellian Savrip is to break the back of its opponents. Although primitive, the Savrip are a sentient and intelligent race, and reknowned for their excellent sense of fashion, second only to Rodians.
Monnok
This legendary race from the jungle world of Soccono has
somehow gained a reputation of bearing good luck, despite
the fact that few who ever see one live to tell about it.
With their swift reflexes and razor sharp, tratmium scythes,
the Monnok can slice through enemys like a light saber
through butter. Fearless to the extreme, the vicious Monnok
never backs down, and sees an enemy's retreat as an
opportunity to strike safely from behind. While the Empire
initially intended to handle them through genocide, they
soon decided to simply avoid the planets where the Monnok
thrived.
Ng'ok
These wily beasts of
war are known primarily for their foul tempers and
retractable claws. While slow-moving and dim-witted, the
Ng'ok has fast hands and a wicked bite. At one time they
were prized as guard beasts by the Jedi, due to their
fondness for the flesh of ysalamiri. They do not do well in
captivity, however, and often turned on their masters.
Predictably, as the ysalamiri disappeared, so did the Ng'ok.
They are now found primarily as guard animals, and in the
armies of truly desperate monarchs.
